Support and resistance lines, Trend channels
Support and resistance lines are very valuable for determining the trend. They avoid winning positions to be concluded too soon and give a very clear buying signal at requesting a new trend. The possibility of determining a break-through is therefore of primordial importance. Looking for shares that have broken through their resistance line is therefore of utmost value, but tremendously time-consuming.
With TransStock Deluxe all support and resistance lines are being drawn automatically!
If you go from short term to long term graphs, the trend is always clearly visible.
TransTrader, available on option, is the ideal tool to look among thousands of shares for that one share that meets your requirements. Not surprisingly the combination of TransTrader and Automatic Support and Resistance lines is exceptional.
Thanks to this technology you immediately know which share has broken through its resistance line. Moreover you can adjust the minimal length of a resistance line: A resistance line of 10 years is more important than a resistance line of a couple of weeks.

Divergences
We speak of divergence when the trend of the price and of the indicators is not levelled.
Both bottoms and tops are being tested and/or broken through again after a certain time span (with day prices mostly 4 to 6 weeks).
In that way a price can make a marked top during a certain moment and that same top is being exceeded after an x number of weeks. As such a double top is obtained with which the 2nd top is higher than the first.
Normally the indicator should follow this movement, but it happens that with making the 2nd top, the 2nd top on the indicator is LOWER than the 1st top on the indicator.
In that case we speak of NEGATIVE divergence and there is a FIRST selling signal.
The other way round there can be a FIRST buying signal with bottoms in that way.
